1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Bengaluru.fyi ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, contributors, and users of the Platform.
2. What Bengaluru.fyi Is
Bengaluru.fyi is a crowdsourced directory of spots, reviews, and local knowledge about Bengaluru, India. All content is submitted by the community. We do not accept payment for listings, rankings, or featured placements. We are not affiliated with any business, government body, or tourism authority.
3. User-Submitted Content
When you submit a spot or review, you grant Bengaluru.fyi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display, distribute, and use that content on the Platform. You represent that your submission is truthful, original, and does not infringe any third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove content that is defamatory, abusive, commercially motivated, or factually misleading.
4. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Platform to: (a) submit paid or sponsored content without disclosure; (b) scrape, crawl, or harvest data for commercial resale without prior written permission; (c) impersonate any person or entity; (d) submit content that is obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful; (e) interfere with the Platform's infrastructure or security.
5. Accuracy of Information
All listings and reviews are community-contributed and provided on an "as-is" basis. Bengaluru.fyi makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing. Spot details — including hours, prices, and availability — may change. Always verify before visiting.
6. API Usage
Access to the Bengaluru.fyi API is governed by a separate API licence. Unauthorised bulk access to data via the API or scraping tools is prohibited. We reserve the right to rate-limit, suspend, or revoke API access at any time without notice.
7. Intellectual Property
The Bengaluru.fyi name, logo, and visual design are proprietary. The platform code is not open-source. Community-submitted content remains the property of contributors but is licenced to us as described in Section 3. You may not reproduce or distribute our design, branding, or platform without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Bengaluru.fyi is a community-powered platform provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not control submissions, and we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, reliance on any listing, or inability to access the service. Our liability is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Privacy
Submissions may be anonymous. We do not sell personal data to third parties. Basic analytics (page views, geographic data) are collected in aggregate. If you submit your name with a spot, it may be displayed publicly. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. The date of last revision is shown below.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
